Jason, this product works very well.

A guy I used to work with had "girly" hands like you  :icon_lol:  and said it worked really well.

Works on my Girly Hands too. Used to have gorilla hands when I worked construction but this electronics sh*t makes one soft (hands only bub!)

Thanks for the link! I'll have to give that stuff a try.

Got the heap back together.  Turned the key to set the TPS and cam sensor but I didn't hear a fuel pump. Checked the relay, fuse and then power at the pump via the new hot wire kit. All was good so I grabbed a battery and ran a couple of jumpers to the connector.  Nothing. Yeah! Now I have to drop the tank. Good thing I did. It was nasty in there. Got it flushed and stabbed in a Walbro I had laying on the shelf and some new fuel lines. Jack the tank back in place and turn the key... Wa la! Fuel pressure and no leaks. Set the TPS and cam sensor.  One last look around to check for something missed and hit the ignition. BAM! It fired right up!  But not for long. Would only stay running with my hand on the throttle. Found a vacuum leak on the EGR block off plate.  Pulled the cover and made a gasket for it. Reinstalled the plate and fired it back up. BAM!  Nice and smooth idle. Check the scan master readings and voltage was just below 12 volts.  Alternator not charging. That's when I put my tools away and came inside for a shower

Well... Kept the battery charger on the battery overnight Saturday. Went to church Sunday morning and then back at the heap. Checked the charging bulb and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Stuck it back together and started the car. BAM!  Now the alternator is charging and charging good at 14.2 volts. PFM I guess.  Anyway, kid showed up with his trailer and finally got to drive his $4k heap. He was elated with happiness. Here's some before and after in the engine bay.

You are a good man; he'd better buy you a drink when he is old enough.

It's the same piece of junk that he brought in.

He's old enough now to buy. I'm just not into drinking that much.

You ain't old Steve! You're aged. Plus I got to get shit done in my time off so I can get to my projects. I did a few things while he wasn't here but for the most part I wanted him here for all of the work and he came over whenever I told him to. The real question will be how soon before he comes asking about a head gasket job

Funny, never had a drop myself.  Make it a root beer then.
