Goodyear brand now Continental
« on: May 12 2016, 09:29:21 AM »
I missed seeing this:

May 2015
Veyance Technologies, which produced many Goodyear Engineered Products over the years, has been purchased by Continental AG, a German firm that bought the company for $1.9 billion.

As a result, all Goodyear Engineered Products are now branded Continental ContiTech.  The company is focused on not only delivering the same high-quality products you’ve come to know from Veyance, but also “raising the bar” on their past successes.

Once the deal is finalized, Veyance Technologies will no longer be operating under the trademark licensing agreement with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. We are working diligently to replace several Goodyear-owned sub-brands with new Continental ContiTech-approved replacements. Once the sale of Veyance Technologies to Continental ContiTech is finalized, we will produce, promote and sell our products under the new ContiTech name brand names.

After goofing with gator back tires on an 89 mustang I don't generally buy anything from Goodyear. I like gates belts n hoses. Though I do have a garden hose i got at an auction that is a Goodyear. I put new brass ends on it and it works real good.
