Real World Numbers Wanted

Has anyone tried making a run with full exhaust...and then gone back to the pits and uncorked it to check for an ET difference.

no track times but when I ran a 2 1/4 dual exhaust I had a dump and picked up 40hp on the dyno bypassing the system went from 380 to 420 :icon_weed: .

I have since removed that system and run a 3" single there was no real pick up at my power level and this system so I deleted my dump.

both were unknown its what was on the car when I bought it....
When I saw those numbers I knew it had to go I suspect it was a walker system but can't say for sure.

Stainless ATR with pit-bulls on my old car.

Tried it once, Car went exact same 11.8 and mph.

Depends on what mufflers but you know that.

Thanks for the responses. Mike, I have Stephans ATR SS dual exhaust with Pitbulls on my car. He went 172 mph through the exhaust with his S2 car...so I doubt I'd see any improvement uncorked.

I don't think there is anyone else left but walker/tenneco in the stockish realm.

I need an exhaust but I hope to wait out some canuck buck recovery

This was a 2.25 Y pipe at the cat with 2 mufflers I did swap the mufflers to 2 glass packs before I went to the 3" single.

I know back about 90-91ish I had a stock system & had a dump pipe hooked up. Back then it ran
12.71-12.72 every pass. With the dump I'm not 100% sure but I remember about a tenth maybe 1.5 but it wasn't a lot. Altho a high 12 sec car & a low 10 sec car might be a different animal? Now I like it quiet & have a RJC dp with a 2 3/4" system from a US vendor.
