A Few Pics From The Pier
« on: August 02 2015, 07:22:05 PM »
I live in a small resort town 90 minutes east of Toronto. Took the car down to the pier and snapped a few pics of the front moving in before all hell broke loose. Check the 'Swamp Cooler' on the truck.

Now, I remember...in the fifties, I saw quite a few trucks with swamp coolers!

I really like the truck!

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I didn't have much of a choice as to a hard top or T Top. Up here with the salt thrown on the roads...and now the liquid brine...which is even worse...you have to find a vehicle that's stored every winter. Trying to find one that's near mint...is like finding a needle in a haystack. I travelled all over Ontario and Quebec for over a year looking for a GN. The owner was a millionaire... and he spared no expense refurbishing the interior and painting it. I found it in Niagara Falls...and made 3 trips down there to look at it before I finally purchased it.

Steve...with the front moving in, I didn't get much of a chance to look it over or get to ask the gentleman many questions about the truck. 5 minutes after I took those pics...you would have thot the world was coming to an end with the storm that broke out.
