my last cat was a mostly outside cat. his name was Theo.  I loved that little guy.  he'd run around all night long and come in and sleep all day.
he got hit by a car one night.  I found him in the morning on the side of the road barely breathing.  his back was broke.
I put him out of his misery and buried him.
broke my heart.
I haven't had a cat since.   :(
When I'm in Rome, they do as I do

that is the truth.   Though is misses the parts about trying to kill their owners while they walk down stairs and run through their legs.

We've had a bunch of cats over the years. Latest one's have been ferals or Craigslist cats. We have three now but we have to bring them in at night or they get eaten. Some of the ferals have been the best cats. Too bad we have so many 'yotes and fishers around. Our best two disappeared a year ago last spring about a week apart. My wife still gets bummed when I mention them. I'm not really a cat person per se, but we don't have the time for a dog. We've had two tomcats that were almost dog-like. I brought home a litter of feral kittens from the mill a couple of months ago and we gave them all away except one......she's testing my patience. :hmm
