Damn Snow!
« on: March 12 2014, 02:35:24 PM »
We've had some pretty cold weather here and lots of snow!  Usually it is either one or the other.  This is a pic of a place just south of us.

weather was 60s yesterday.  melted what was left of snow from couple weeks ago.  today we're back in the 30's.  supposed to be in the 60s again this friday.
I ride a Indian. one of the newer ones built in Kings Mountain, NC.  Also getting ready to pull the trigger on a springfield era 48 Chief.
Also have a 79 yamaha it175 that I beat the crap out of.  those old ring-dings are a ton of fun and damn near invinceable

:cool;   Post some pics up of your bikes, I would love to see them.  My cousin had a blue IT175 when I was a kid, I remember riding that when my feet couldn't even touch the ground.  I love the 2 strokes, that is why I have 3 RZ's.  Cheap to insure and lots of fun!

I have lots of "good" pics of the Indian I'd post if I ever get my new pc unboxed and set up.
here is pics I just went out and snappid in th garage.
the it was also blue originally.  this winter I bought new white skins for it and painted the tank cause the old ones where all busted.  recovered the seat too.  it wont get its due quanity of mud on it till this weekend..
I put brake lights and a horn on it to make it street legal.    every now and then I run into town and get the locals all cranked up

I cleaned the it up over the winter, replaced some parts here and there.  its definetly worthy of a restoration.  It had a pretty hard landing on it a few months ago, I coulda swore it bent the swingarm, but it seems to be ok.

I always laugh when people say the 4 stroke dirt bikes are more reliable. :icon_lol:   They try to get as much horsepower out of them as the same size 2 stroke.  As a result you have to rebuild the 4 stroke more than the 2 stroke!

and....they outlawed building 2 stroke dirtbikes, but still allow making 2 stroke outboard engines?  from what I understand (but could be wrong), is that they are now getting them down to less emissions than the 4 strokes
