Fuel Filter
« on: January 22 2014, 03:09:50 PM »
Has anyone tested different brands of direct replacement in-line fuel filters for 86-87?  If so, when testing, noticed a pressure drop from one brand to another?  Cut the filter open to see who's got the most pleat surface area?  Fram G3727 available at WalMart for $11.95.  Original AC Delco GF652 about the same price @ $12.  Purolater or WIX option also.  Suggestions?

I think AC, Fram, and Wix are the ones I have used over the years...I always watch my fuel pressure to make sure it is behaving properly and have not seen a difference

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I pretty much get the wix at my local place who stocks the brand. Oil filters too. Change it regularly, i'm sure you will be fine.
