No 1st gear shift?
« on: September 27 2013, 10:11:08 PM »
So I'm wondering if a TV cable adjustment is in order on my car because I cant pull the shift lever into first gear. Also can the TV adjustment limit or determine how much RPM you will get?

Pulling it into first gear requires that the bracket on the trans pan not be tweaked in the least. That's with the shifter cable adjusted dead nuts accurate.

On the TV cable it's not supposed to alter shift points but if you over tighten it, it does seem to affect shifting along with the quality.

no, if the bracket is bent the least little bit it won't go down to first.
