Assclown
« on: March 25 2006, 08:56:08 AM »
Be4u: Bah, I forgot all about it. I think I got a thorn in my side at work. I dont know who this assclown think he's fucking with but he's definatly barking up the wrong tree. He'll be in check as soon as I take action. To make a long story short, he's trying to get fame off my ideas. Using me as a stepping stool. I will put an end to it. Booth cashier vs. supervisor.... round one!

Top Speed: Fuck him up!!!

Recklessrob: Remember bullshit may get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Be4u: Very true RR. Also, People at the top can smell bullshit a mile away....most of the time. People at the top are passionate about their jobs and they can feel when someone is the same way. I just cant let this guy take my words. He's useless.

Today I ran into the guy that hired me. I told him about what Joseph did to me. Took my words. Greg said "he's stealing your thunder huh?". I set up a meeting with him next saturday morning. I let him know that I have a list of things to talk to him about....mostl y the way employees are treating guests.

Not to mention Joseph is taking my words....it gets deeper. Joseph is a supervisor...t hats it...a glorified floor person that dying to advance. He got a chance last month and he was promoted to assistant manager...two weeks later he was demoted....he says it was because of his family...mmmmm kay. 15K a year pay difference.

So, one day I bitch to Joseph about a floorperson saying that she wasnt going to help a guest. I even told the manager about her saying the guest can wait and she wasnt going to help him. I think Joseph got pissed that I narked out his friend. Ever since he keeps saying "hey, theres Mr. guest service Robert" and such. A couple of nights ago he said that and I had enough. I asked him why he keeps patronizing me. he says "I'm not, your Mr. guest service." WTF ever. He's patronizing me. Anyways, the foolish Mississippi boy called him out. Now it's war...I guess. the fuckhead wont leave me alone. He stands by my booth and watches me. Maybe he's learning tips on how to treat a guest? Am I that good?

He also threatened to write me up for having a styrofoam coffee cup. The rule book says that we have to use an approved cup for our drinks and technically the styrofoam cup isnt approved. But everyfuckingbo dy uses different cups. I'm NOT the only one. Even supervisors. What, after four months my cup is an issue?!?!?! Why didnt he ever say anything befor? I swear, if he writes me up for this...that'll be the nail in his coffin. He'll be branded a fool by everyone. I cant wait  :rofl;

Oh, not only did I bump into Greg tonight, I also saw Bill (the guy that gave Greg the green light to hire me) I let Bill know that I was having a meeting with Greg next Saturday and that I'd like for him to be there. Bill will be there. It's kinda funny that Bill was there tonight. I'm sure it was because he heard some of the stories I told a dayshift manager about the antics on swingshift. Bill showed up to see for himself I bet.

What have I got to lose? I can always go back to Biloxi and deal cards if this fails.

Good to hear from you tonight. Keep your cool during
this, and you'll likely persevere. Any company such as the
one you work for does not want to portray a negative
image to its patrons. They want people to enjoy themselves,
so that they;ll return at a later date.

I'll definatly keep my cool. I'm not mad, just passionate about guest service.

Heres the attitude of some of the people..."some people wont change". I asked him if he was giving up without even trying. He didnt have nothing to say after that.

I feel that if people cant change then they need to go and work in the back of the house. It's like a job requirement. If you cant meet the requirements than you shouldnt have the job.

It's like, If the requirements say that you have to lift 500# and you cant, you obviously wont get the job....right?

My ONLY downfall is that I'm not afraid to say names and talk shit. I'm quick to say "this guy sucks" "this girls good" "Josephs a tool" "So n so doesnt even want to try" But I'm also quick to point out the people that are good and can be trained to be better. It kinda evens out. I'm debating weather or not to talk a little shit though. I may just skip that part and only talk about the people that have promise. Sound like a plan or do I bring up the bad people too?

I'd be careful as to how muck shit talking you do. That can backfire
on you. When I hear someone who shit talks alot, I usually question
what their motives are. There are many who will dis others in an attempt to
divert attention from themselves. Try to keep your judgements positive.
Such as"So and so could improve their customer relations if they would
smile at the patrons upon their arrival", rather than"So and so looks away
whenever a customer approaches them". Be tactful.

Yes Rob, your talking about talking shit to make one look/feel better about themselves. Kinda like a Grand pecking order. Step on him.

I'm talking about calling a spade a spade from the things I see. Thats how I talk shit.
I'm quick to say someones a tool or someones fake. I read people well.

Last night I wrote Greg a letter. I'll proof read it tonight befor I email it to him. I kept it positive but real. Here it is....

Greg,
I'm from Mississippi. I dont want to seem like I think were better than Vegas but
I definatly feel like I can bring a little bit of Mississippi to Vegas and make Wynn
a better place. Greg, you hired me because you felt like I would be a great addition
to Wynn. Your right. The first few months showed nothing but now I believe what you felt is comming to show. Theres a reason why I'm the first booth cashier you hired...not to mention MALE cashier. You brought me into the Wynn world and totally helped me out. Now it's time for me to shine and make you know you did the right thing. I want people to say "Greg made a good decision".

Since working at Wynn I've been noticing things that are out of line. Things that be fixed. I complained to a supervisor one day about they way people did their job. She replied "thats the casino business". Ok, it can be the casino business, but not at Wynn. Wynn made Vegas what it is today. He opened Wynn Las Vegas to start a new era. At least, thats what I believe. The "casino business" needs to head in a new direction and In my opinion it HAS to start at Wynn Las Vegas. People brag about how well Wynn treats his workers. Co-workers like the way their treated. Why cant we treat the guests as well as were treated? "Pay it forward". Wynn treats us good, why cant we make him look good?

I promise, while working at Beau Rivage SEVERAL guests have told me that they dont go to Vegas because people are nicer in Biloxi. For that simple fact, Vegas loses tons of capital just because of attitudes. I dont want to dis my former workplace or city but I'm a Wynn employee now. I cant help but to be dedicated to the company that pays my bills. Even if I hope to steal business or income from the visitors of Biloxi. I cant help it.

About two months ago when the Supervisor told me "thats the casino business" I thought and thought about how things could change. But who am I? Just a booth cashier. What can I do and how do I go about doing it? I've been trying to meet up with you and talk to you about my ideas but I havent been trying to hard because I never had a good enough plan. The time has come for us to talk about this. About a month ago I was really bothered by some of the antics on swing shift. Not to mention my personal life was getting to me. One day, I came into work about 30 minutes early to talk to you. You were busy. Luckily, I ran into Carol Bosshart. I kinda poured my heart out to her about how I wanted guests to be treated better...about how Wynn should be known at the Ritz Carolton of LV. I asked her if there was a way I could get involved with a training program for employees
to teach them better ways to treat guests. I also told her that I didnt get a Wynn
t-shirt during orientation. I was too proud to say "I need a t-shirt". She was about to
bring me to the gift shop and buy me one but I begged her to take me to employee services and get one of the orientation t-shirts. Well, we ended up in a ladys office behind employee services. I got a Wynn t-shirt. While there Carol told the lady that I wanted to get involved with the company and volunteer to help make the place better. The lady told me about a program they have reading books to under-privilaged school children. Thats a positive thing but I need to solidify my place at Wynn befor I can get involved with something like that. I asked the lady about a program that teaches employees customer service. She said there were talks about it but no training as of yet, maybe in the future. Well, the future is here. I'm very pasionate about customer service and although I'm self tought I feel like I could add AND learn while helping. I definatly want to be a part of this! I have nothing and I'm trying to rebuild my life. I want it to start now. I want to help Wynn be a better casino and rise above the rest. I want Wynn to set the standard of the "casino business". I want other casinos to follow Wynn into the future.

Remember when Bill came out with that memo about walking guests to machines there looking to play? Does that have anything to do with the fit I threw about the floorpeople talking to other workers about puppies, a guest walked up and asked for a certain machine, they just pointed and continued on with their conversation. 5 minutes later the guest came back to me and told me that he didnt find it. The story is more detailed, I can fully exlaine the story if you ask me to. The reason I ask is because the memo came out a few days after that happened.

I told you and Bill that I had a list of negative things that are going on. I'd rather
throw the list away and totally concentrate on training and positive things. If you want to see my list, let me know! I'll bring it to our meeting, regardless. Do you think we could get Carol and Jamie to join You, Bill and I? I want to make your decision to hire me pay off! I want the slot department to be at the forefront of the training. I want the department heads to say that the slot department has it going on. I want us to look good! We can do it! No doubt in my mind! We have people in our department that would be GREAT with the proper training. Some will never change and they will fall to the bottom...never get promoted. Some will rise up and someday help run the company, like, Irene, Tim, Ana (Gama?), Miguel, Ingrid, Nick(super), Kioske (?), Jamie (super), Michael and some others that I cant remember right now. In my opinion, those people will be the most responsive to the training. You'll see. Save this email and in the future look back at it and see if my prediction about these people was right. I'd be willing to bet that I'd bat 100%.

If I'm wrong about this, PLEASE tell me. I promise I wont get offended. What do you
want to see in the future? Should I be looking in a different direction? I know what
I want, what do you want? Right now, teamwork is important to me. I'm passionate about customer service, what are you passionate about?

I also want to talk about my evaluation. It's all jacked up. I should have recieved a
better score. An evaluation isnt worth anything if it isnt accurate.

Robert 1, Assclown 0

Not only was Joseph using my words but he was patronizing me. For a couple of weeks now he's been calling me "Mr guest service BoB/Robert". Like a school kid. My name tag says Robert. You patronize someone that says there something there not. I, deliver what I say. Anyways, a few days ago he said his line and I immediatly asked him why he was patronizing me. He said I'm not, your mr guest service. I obviously bingo'd his ass because he's stopped saying that. Well, today, he was working my section. I cant stand to look at him so I avoid his direction. He comes to me and in a snotty voice he askes me how I was doing. I told him that I'd like to go home if possible. He asked why, I told him "I cant stand working with you". He gets all serious...this is where it blows up on him.

Joseph calls the manager and obviously whines to him. A little later the manager comes over, we talk and I let him know that I'm pissed at Joseph because of him patronizing me. I give him the examples and let him know that is so disrespectful expecially when you add in the other circumstances. The manager tells me in a hushed voice that he knows exactly what I'm talking about because Joseph used to do the same thing to him. :bigeyes;  :rofl; . Then I asked if he thought that Joseph has a patronizing issue so he can make people feel unworthy and himself feel better. Manager says "probably" :rofl; . He said that he's going to talk to Joseph about it. Two strikes against my supervisor. I made a stink about it so I'm sure people above the manager will hear about it...expeciall y true if my manager has ANY dislike toword Joseph.
