charcoal canister

can i take out my charcoal canister an block off the vaccume line to it? what about the plug-in peice? will it effect my ride? idle?

My vacumm line is plugged. Remember, when you block off the line from the gas tank, you *may* create unwanted vaccum in the gas tank. if you don't plug it, you will be venting gas vapors, which are flammable. Let's see if someone else has any info. I have the vaccum block/canister line plugged with no ill effects. I don't think the ECM looks for the signal to the canister, so I don't think you will get an error code if you disconnect the plug.
Hopefully, someone has "canned" the canister and has some info.
