Timing
« on: June 30 2013, 05:06:00 PM »
tuning the car and thought I would put a timing light on it to check the base timing. Gen ll translator with the extender g chip base timing should be 15 degrees the light shows 25 does that mean when I set the timing to 20 degrees at WOT am I really at 30?

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Apparently I have to put it in diagnostic mode and it than reads as 15 like it should.
The G chip adds timing at idle.
sure runs rough when you stuff a paper clip in the adl port  :P
