Just ordered some new injectors
« on: July 04 2012, 06:54:02 AM »
Just bought a set of 60lb injectors,  extender extreme chip,  and a few other things.

Figures as I am writing this in forgot to get a few more things,  egr block off and a new injectors harness.

 Back to placing another order.

sounds like a fun project.  Don't think he needs any o-rings outside of potentially the ones on the regulator.  I have gotten by for many years without installing new ones, but, next time, might be a good idea

heated o2 sensors lose range with age instead of coding.  Some of them also seem to be calibrated differently and may produce lowered gas mileage.

I will have to keep an eye on the o2 sensor.  Looks like I will have to do some research into them.  I see caspers offers it with the denso 4 wire and cottons offers the same kit with another name brand ( the brand escapes me).

Thanks for the heads up on the heated sensors.

I prefer the denso replacement 234-1001 or the standard AC Delco replacement.  The heated sensor was thought to last a little longer when using leaded race gas.  From what I have seen, the Denso unheated will outlast a heated Delco sensor.  Never saw a heated Denso but I doubt it is calibrated for our cars.

My experience is that vendors are not a reliable source at times

Steve is very right here. The only caveat is in long tube headers (which we don't have) that will cool down significantly at idle, these will benefit from a heated narrowband 02 downstream at the collector.
