well, I never saw one fail in use so if it is working now, it should be working forever, imo....sounds like a good deal to me

I had one that was flakey way back when. Put me through pure hell trying to make the car run right one hour to the next.

I figured a log wouldn't hurt if you're chasing a gremlin. Not to mention you never know if they laid under an awning for a month or three before being sold! :)
