I am home now. We took a detour after the stop in Madison, IL to visit an old friend in Columbus, OH. Then we went up to Akron to get raped at Summit.

But, yes it was fun... and very exhausting.

Just crunched the numbers and the Camaro pulled down 23.32mpg combined for the whole 2,831 mile trip. Not too shabby for a car with 158K miles on the original engine and 4.10 gears in the diff that I built.

It was a tough call not to take it. However, I just found a leak at the transmission pan yesterday... so in retrospect I am glad that I didn't take it. Also, I chose to "save" the Buick for the auto-x season that started last weekend - even if it would have been a more noteworthy car on the Power Tour.

I don't think it was mentioned here? But, GNGAL made it out in her GN despite their "run-in" with another car recently; both looked no worse for wear. Miss Fancy Pants also likes to stay at Hilton's like me...  :player:

IIRC Insurance paid out promptly and she bought another. Agreed-I'm rather partial to Hampton Inns.

Nice Mike - I was going to do the Michigan leg of it - but I killed the clutch in the bird, and I've been laid up for the last 6 weeks (damn surgery).
