Anyone playing it?  These damn games are becoming incredibly good.  I am getting too damn old and my reflexes are non existent, but I am having a good time with this one.

I use to play the original SOF online. Lots of fun...but a lot of people were "hacking".

Oh good grief, another evercrack game for the addiction clinics to cash in on.

When I was a kid I used to play games like Bards Tale on my Commodore 64.  And then there was Wizardry and Eamon on the Apple 2E.  So I avoid online games like this one, and WoW, Ultima, etc. like the plague because I'd get wrapped up in them.

I play one online game called OGame and that's it.

Of course there is the iPhone and I play Crime City, Contract Killer, Galaxy on Fire, Metalstorm and SilverswordLT on it.

Gotta say, if you like those old school Bards Tale/Wizardry games you'll like Silversword on the iPhone...it's like going back to the early '80s.

And Galaxy on Fire 2 is hands down, the best game on the iPhone (combination Wing Commander Privateer and Freelancer with open ended game play).

I bought it Thursday and play it on a PS3.  It is very similar but with improvements of the game Oblivion which was forth in the series.  I seem to have wasted all yesterday evening playing it and did not get to drink as much beer as I had wanted too!

I started to get it for the ps3, but, in the end, I went for the pc version.  This game would have been even more awesome, I think, on the big screen.  I am not sure this game will ever be finished and it can be truly random at times.  It is not predictable and the size of the world and the detail of the world is incredible.  I hate playing the modern stuff on a keyboard so I bought a xbox usb controller, but, I am just about as spastic on it as the keyboard.  Oh, well, there is a reason I quit playing long ago when my son began to beat me regularly...sa me reason I won't play online-I hate losing.

I am playing my PS3 with 1080P output to my Sony 52" XBR tv.  The graphics are pretty good but I bet they can be much better with faster frame rates on a PC with a high end graphics card.

I'm digging it - it's pretty good. I'm waiting for Batman: Arkham City to drop in price for the pc.....should be bad ass.

Who says single player is dead - good titles like Skyrim and Dues Ex prove that it isn't. :)
