EGR Delete Question
« on: November 08 2011, 05:03:25 PM »
Installed the Champion race intake...which is EGR delete. The hoses from the EGR go into a small black box...which has a weather pack connector. If I unplug it from the black box...will it kick a code?

Not if the chip burner disabled the code as does TT.  That is the egr solenoid valve...ecm controls it to provide egr at cruise.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Is that something Eric disables regardless, or do you have to request it?  I just ordered a new TT chip and when I ordered it, I don't remember it asking me about the intake (just the heads) and whether or not I wanted the EGR disabled.

I'll be in the same boat, as I'm having the Champion heads and intake installed this week.
