NOS Front Cover with Rope Seal?

Knock that metal ring out to remove the seal. Dremel down the three tits that staked the ring in and install the neoprene seal.
  Don't forget to put some jizz on the rubber to keep it from burning up. (that also applies to the new front seal as well)

I will port and prep per Earl's instructions, blueprint the oil pump with Steve's instructions, and install the KB booster plate as well. Oil pressure shouldn't be an issue.

remember that you can often shim the shaft to take out excessive play and keep using the original.  At least the caps are more reasonable.  I bought a couple of spares back when Zap found them online for around $50  (complete sensor)

Actually all he needs is a cap but has only found them thru Caspers so far. He isnt on the boards very often but does remember reading the lighted caps had issues. I haven't heard any complaints lately so maybe it was just the 1st batch? Do you know if they fixed the problems they had? If so, the lighted cap would be somewhat easier to install.

I am not aware of any real issues with the Casper caps and John always makes things right
