Firestone sucks! They stripped the bolt on the oil pan on our Durango when they did the oil change & now they won't take responsibility for it & fix it. I have called consumer afffairs & spoke with the district manager, they say not our problem even though we have proved to them that they did the damage, they don't care. Don't go to Firestone, they will screw up your car & then not take responsibility & fix it. My husband is a disabled Vet, we are on a fixed income but now I have to figure out where we are going to get $750 to fix our Durango, which happens to be the only vehicle we have that can carry his wheelchair.

Agreed.
Call the local TV stations/newspapers and see if they have a fraud team or something. Raise enough of a stink, they will pay.

Drill the hole for the plug out and retap it the next size up. Been there done that with a customer that went to wally world. Most corpirates won't do a damn thing for ya even if you bring the news into it.

Lot's of oversized drain plug kits on the market for a cheap permanent repair. If unable to do it yourself, most local repair shops will do if for under $100 including new oil change. Post your location and someone may be able to point you to a good shop.
