It's A L I V E ! ! !

Fired up the engine in my 87' WE4 today ! ! !  :icon_super: Have to give thanks to Steve Wood for his help during this adventure!

Everything went smooth, but for some reason I had to use a jumper wire to the fuel hot wire to get the fuel pump to turn on. Idled it up to 2000rpm for 5 minutes, then 2500 for 10 minutes, then 2800 for another 10 minutes, then 1800 for another 10. Going to the store to get new pf52 and some new dino 10-30 for it now.

Will check the relay tonight, when it's cooler outside, have already replaced the oil pressure switch. ~~~~~~ Guess I should check the fuses also. It was a fuse!  :icon_eyes:

Yep, top to bottom! Think before I hit the road I will replace the factory radiator. Had it repaired before I took the engine out, but with the heat I think it would be a good idea to upgrade! Thinking of the F body/external coolers. Already have a external trans cooler, but seen a permacool cooler that had both in one on TB.com that looked nice. Any suggestion either way?

This is the one I seen that I liked the installed look. Just wonder if it works okay!

stacked plate coolers are usually more efficient for their size...some say 30% more...and are a heckuva lot more rugged.  B&M is probably the best known altho Derale and others also sell them.   I don't know if B&M still offer the dual version, or not.  I used to get the ones with the fan on them and mount them under the battery facing the ground.

How does the FBody radiator work? Does it install fairly easy?

put one in my GN , it was pretty much a drop in install.

Steve's radiator article is spot on. I plan on doing that upgrade, once this thing runs.
