I love what Ford is doing with the ecoboost engines!!  And you can get it in several of their platforms!!!
But the F150 ecoboost is the most impressive if you want major towing in the 150 platform.....    11,300# towing capacity without having to buy a heavy duty truck! Cool!!

But my next purchase WILL be an ecoboosted Ford product of one sort or another.

Want to  know just how impressive Ford's ecoboost v6 really is????  Check this out....

there are 6 videos, check them all out in order!!!

You must be refering to video #4.   Why compare it to a vortec max.  Oh, and what's a vortec max???

Rob - they have the 6.2 to compete against the Vortec Max.

dave the vortec max is pretty much the 1500 for all out pulling.

jeremy if i'm not mistaken (and i can be) wont the ecoboost out pull the big ford v8?

It might - but the 6.2 is the biggest offered in the F150, it has the highest hp and torque.

Ford doesn't offer any direct comparisons on their own line up.

I've decided to hold off on a new truck for a year - other things take priority right now. I'll revisit the ecoboost and gm at that time.

Definitely drive an ecoboost if you get a chance - it's pretty impressive.

I got an Ecoboost F150 about 2 months ago.It hauls ass for a big truck.I haven't got it to the track yet but I'd like to at least once this summer. There's a few guys on the forums that have run 14.5-14.6 (stock) boost launching in 4x4.
