Car's been rattling for a few years - getting progressively worse. I figured the cat substrate had broken down - I was right. The cat is swedged/crimped on - so after measuring the pipe (2.5") and ordering a heavy duty Wagner butt clamp (No, not THAT one, Zap) I dug in and got it done today. The acceleration has been getting worse - the crumbled substrate had been blocking the exhaust. After clearing it out and putting it all back together - took it for a drive - accelerates much better, and sounds pretty bad ass now too.Pile o' substrate:Closeup of said substrate:Empty cat ready to go back in:
What is this "snow" you speak of? I live just north of Tampa Florida - no snow here.
