I used to work doing auto glass when in university, you'd probably be looking around 800-1000 for the glass alone(at cost, add shop mark up), add 2-3 hours install time. Yeah, that glass breaking would certainly hurt the pocket book.

I saw an episode of 'How It's Made' or 'Factory Made', and they showed how float glass is made - putting molten glass over molten tin. Badass!
