I've been punching my clown all day with my new amp. I wanted a Tech21 SO fucking bad, but they're pricey, and the Trademark 30 only has one channel.

Anyway, I got a Roland Cube 30 in the mail today, and the fucking thing is unbelievable.

The JC 120 channel is ridiculously clean, and the on board effects aren't bad considering they're not too adjustable. What really blew me away was the Acoustic simulator and the Tweed (Fender Bassman) and R-Fier (Mesa/Boogie) amp models.

The cabinet is a closed back, and ported from the front. The speaker response is amazing, the JC 120, Tweed and Acoustic channels really move the speaker, I can feel it from across the room.

And! True to form, the van Halen 5150 channel sounds like shit.

I expect this to be getting worked for some new music to be recorded soon, with drums and bass.

I played with a friends micro cube, and that was pretty good for a practice amp.
The sounds were decent for what it was.

I been hunched over this Alesis SR18 for fucking ever lately. Actually, I lie.

I've been more or less poking it with sticks for all but the last couple weeks, and I finally have gotten some material down to be able to write music again.

I'm using it for more or less a practice tool, as I still prefer the sound and response of a drummer behind a kit to jam with. But all these years of jamming alone has seriously fucked up my sense of timing, and so everything I write is in different time signatures and tempos, within the same tune.

So anyway, I got this thing and was cursing it's existence until the recent epiphany I had with it. Expect good stuff.

I'm so loving this thread. The same Jacky plus an EV Cobalt Co4 is micing the Celestion G12T75s out of a Line 6 Spider II HD150 over a Laney 'doublewide' cab. Oh, and I put a Duncan Invader (SH8-N) in the neck replacing the SH2. It broke my heart to do but I needed the highest gain shred pickup I could get.

I'm still working on some old Iceboxnh stuff that we recorded a long time ago.
I had the original singer come over about a month ago and do a killer lead vocal track. all thats leaf is having the keyboard player come over to record his backing vocals, and then master it. I've been wicked sick the past month or so, and been
draggin' ass at everything I do. I'm just starting to get over it.
