87 We4
« on: July 25 2009, 02:27:34 AM »
well guys the GN has really killed me for time and cash. so i joined the national guard febuary of last year and just got done with all my training and such. needless to say i wanted to fix the GN, and also needed a daily driver. After I got my signing bonus from the guard, i had the choice of build a motor and try to drive the GN and work on it little by little. or option B... find another turbo regal.

 :supz:

i am now the owner of my 86 GN and a 87 WE4. i will get pics up later this week hopfully. it was the one for sale on turbobuick.com seller was myron. he has some pics up.

Well i now have a reason to get back into buick mode and start hittin the forums again. it feels good to be boosted again.

I like his description of the paint job:

Quote
It is now bass boat silver, flaking off with mint green underneath

Looks like the body needs some TLC, and it sounds mechanically sound.  How's the interior?

the interior is awsome. i needa take some time to vacuume it but other then that its nice. still pulling down the ghetto swead (spelling?) they put over the vinel and the rest of the headliner.

the motor seems sound had a lifter tick but after i pulled the valve cover just outta curiosity. it went away. gotta replace my temp sensor that reads 250 degrees all the time it will be back to normal. its got autometer pro champ guages on the pillar and under the radio. does this brand have issues with going bad?

thanks,
Jeremy

I saw your post on the tbs.com board about the paint job.  It looks to me like you're going to need new bumber fillers too, and those can be a high dollar item.
