The Scott Ian guitar pick
« on: June 01 2008, 11:57:28 AM »
So last night I took my oldest son to his first big concert.  We saw Anthrax open for Iron Maiden.  The kid is pumped seeing these guys live and in the 10th row center to boot!

Just as Anthrax runs out on to the Stage Scott Ian throws a guitar pick out into the crowd and it literally lands in my son's lap. How cool is that? To get a pick at your first show?!  :supz:  :prayer:

Nonetheless, he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

The upside here is that he no longer really wants to listen to (c)Rap.

Touche, nice catch!

Ian was my hero when I was about 12.....and still today I probably wouldn't try to steal from him. But, how does he play with a boat-oar pick like that?

Good on J-man, though- I hope he 'gets' what kind of royalty threw that pick.

Speaking of which, I was using one of those jazz picks you gave me today. Helps me play Miserlou!

Still love my Fender heavies though. C'mon, I tune to standard. I need a fucking piano hammer to hit the strings with.
