I almost make it out tuesday, lasted about 24 hours. I would have gone to china, kuwait then Germany for 4 days then home for about a week off. But then some went wrong (replaced not due in until 20th) So now I get to ride to china, Kuwait, china, India and back to here...leave at 8am tuesday and get back at 6pm thursday...I'm SO looking forward to spending that much time on a freighter
The only good thing is I'll only be delayed getting home by a couple of days I think.

Jim, I don't know how you do it. It must be hard with the time change and everything. You are going through some "bad" territory. :bigeyes;  Be safe and careful!   I take it you are not going to Bowling Green this year.

I drink a hell of a lot, I drink more here than I have in years...place is very safe, unless you want to count that most of the loaders/workers here don't know what deodorant is   :rolleyes; you can get use to it tho. And the drive the shit, but I can match that. :evil; I have known for some time that I wouldn't make BG. I was scheduled to be in Germany during that time for a Big 60th Anniversary celebration. Company was going to pay me 4 days pay to be there, I was the only in my position that was offered too. Anyone else could go but no pay.

Today is day 56  :bigeyes;  I just got yesterday, I left tuesday morning at 1pm. I had to delay for 5 hours for Chinese visas because I couldn't get them the day before. I was missing a stamp on a letter, they told me 5 minutes before closing and wouldn't take a fax. I had to hire a local (Chinese national) that I could trust with 3 passports and $1k US and bring the passports to the airport so we could depart. Nothing like pulling it out your ass at the last minute. I flow UAE-China(12 hours on ground, drank beer on street corner with crew)-Kuwait-China-Bombay(shithole)-UAE (landed at 1:45pm thursday). Back to place for shower (damn did I smell) and back to work. I need a Fing drink.
