Bridge Collapse

I just saw this on TV tonight.

Notice all the people on the bridge above looking down.

The driver of the blue caravan can at least be thankfull that the porta-potty
didn't dump on them along with the rest of the disaster going on.

I'm still a bit shocked over the whole thing though.

Pretty nice that we give up such a large chunk of our income to government and THE FUCKING RETREADS CAN'T EVEN KEEP A BRIDGE UP!

Have you heard about the "Big Dig" in Boston ?

Anyone notice the changing stats regarding the deaths reported for the
bridge collapse. The first night, they reported 6-7 deaths depending on
which station you listen to. The next day, it went up to 9. And the next day
its down to 4-5 depending on the station you tune into ?

Um, yeah. I've been driving through that disaster for about 9 years? Sad as hell, really.

This reminds me of that time when th power grid in New York went out a couple years ago. Someone made the point of us being in a First World country with Third World infrastructure .

But upon that, I just chalk it up to a freak accident.

I heard that the Army Corps of Engineers has 3 possible scenerios.

I'm guessing that the river erroded the earth that supported one of the pylons
and the rest came down like dominos from there.
