I have had XM and Sirius. Sirius is by FAR better than XM if you like Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, and Punk (as I do) and my wife tells me the Country music is better as well.

After having it I can not imagine going without.

I've listened to both. They're both good for long distance road trips.
But I prefer CD's and local radio. Commercials are a small price to pay
to get traffic reports and relevant weather alerts news etc...

I doubt that they'd report on a road closing or a delay in southern NH though, Or even a National Weather Service advisory for my area. Stuff like that just isn't practical for satelite. I do like
some of the satelite music stations because of the diversity of music that they play.
A few examples are Boneyard or Deep Cuts. You just don't hear any of that on regular radio any more if at all.
