Hey Rob, we missed ya. Very few people showed up and I was able to get in eight runs even though I got there late. Mike forgot his instructions for his new Turbotweak chip so he didn't play too much. I'm not sure what his best time was. Jon from Fall River, MA was there with his blue T. He ended up running an 11.8X at 117 MPH. Pretty quick car. Mine was pretty slow....mid 13's at 100-101 MPH. I'm still running last years gas so I didn't want to push it too hard. I wasn't locking the converter so I probably could have picked up another MPH or two. I had one good launch, all the others spun and wheel hopped. 2.1-2.3 60' times. Maybe next time we'll all get up there together,

I think Mike ran 12.4 with a leaky IC hose !
Do you still have the thrasher 100 chip ? Is it for 30# inj,
or stock ? Also, I still have a shirt for you that I brought back from Vegas
last October. It's been on the back seat of the GN since.

I have a Thrasher 100, a 108 and (2) 92's but they're all for stock injectors. We gotta get together at the track. Are there any local car shows in Derry this year? Thanks for the shirt!!

Nothing in town anymore. I have 30's in the car now, but I have a set of 60's and
a Turbo Tweak chip for the new engine. I was thinking about trying a 100 to see
if I could get my damn car to break 100mph on the old engine.

Are you locking the converter? That's good for 1 or 2 MPH. If you're not making tons of power it shouldn't hurt it much. How's your tune?

I'm not locking the converter, but I
think the chip does around 50mph. The tune is fairly close, but I think I may try lowering the boost a little. I have a gut feeling that the higher boost is raising
intake temps to much, and lowering air density.

Who's chip are you running? Unless you're sure it locks, you could try grounding the aldl pin at 80 MPH or so. It feels like another gear.

Thrasher 92
I'll look into locking the converter.

I'm pretty sure the Thrasher's don't lock at WOT. You'll need to ground that pin on the ALDL plug. I used to ground it at the starting line but that will lock it as soon as you hit 2nd gear. It's probably better to do it with a switch at around 80 MPH. Locking it in 2nd puts a lot more load on the engine and may cause some more knock at lower boost levels than if you do it farther down the track. I bet you can break 100 easy if you lock it.
