Used Forged Crank

As we know I am a cheapskate. No secret.
I found a deal on a GN1 forged 4340 crankshaft that has been turned down .010/.010. This isn't a big deal to me but the seller sez it hasn't been checked for cracks, magnafluxed or whatever. This seemed like a red flag to me as I would have that done before spending the coin on the machine work.

Any one else think this is odd? Didn't really want to get stuck with a big paper weight.

New one is around $600.  Labor to make the old one near new condition a few hundred.  But a new one should be checked by the machinist also. If you paying under $200 used Then I would say it's a good deal if it can be reconditioned and used  for a daily driver under 500hp

Not sure what it costs to ship one from California to Texas but for his asking of $345 shipped this one just doesn't really seem like what I need. Said he got it as part of a compensation and it had journals with trash had been run through so he had it machined .010/.010.

I guess I need to keep looking or maybe just pony up and get a new one. Would go into a 4.1 block I have that is already .040 over so it will require some custom pistons. But I am steady hunting a 109 block or an 84/85 hot air setup on the cheap. But I would like to have a forged crank in it either way I go. I do plan on e85 and plenty of boost. So I don't want to be come a member of the dotc club.
