Shopping for a two post

Hey fellas, looking for some solid advice on a lift. Been researching and seems to be a lot of knock offs.  Looking for quality and reliability.

My son has two in his shop ,I’ve used them took me sometime to get use to back hanging out past the post that fare. Very nice lift good craftsmanship. I helped put a Big BendPak in his shop about three months ago it’s a nice peace it was the XPR18 USA made to big for home. there offshore stuff  for the home mechanic is 1/2  the price and has there name on it might be good. If the Rotary is in your budget very nice lift

Make sure you plan your heat and garage door opener setups to clear. Might want to look into a roll up door or slider for the limited space you have.

Steve, don’t you have a 4 post?  Did you pick up and install it yourself? I am hoping to purchase the lift and install. I have the wiring in place.


Building was here when we bought the place. Two 12’ roll up doors. 12’ sides, 14’ at the center and 30’ wide

Yes, I bought a four poster as I wanted to use it for storage.  I have been threatening to get a two poster as well as they are so useful for many things.  Two post units are really good for engine swaps where you can drop the front cross member out the bottom.

An installer and a helper came down and put it together for me.  Apparently a lot of shops buy from Derek Weaver because they had installed quite a few the prior week.  I forget what they charged for the installed but it was not bad.

Mine is a very rugged lift.  I have had no complaints other than it is slow going up.  I used a 110 volt motor.  I don't know if a 220v unit would have been any faster.
