Ontario Personalized Plates

I HAD personalized plates for the GN...but when we recovered it the plates were missing. Car was strictly raced the past four years so I didn't bother with plates. Went to the MTO yesterday to plate the car and was told it would take 6 months to get the personalized plates sent to me. I have temporary plates till then. Just an FYI if you get yours stolen.

Mine were stolen by a member here.

Ran the plate through the MTO, still in my name yet not in my possession.

I got new plates for my Truck and I was told make sure no ones steals the old plates and use them because I would be liable!  WTF!!!  That makes no sense to me.
