AFPR-Kirbans vs Accufab
« on: June 14 2018, 04:46:48 PM »
I have a stock GN I'm picking up for an individual this Saturday...who will remain anonymous...fo r now. Which AFPR do you guys prefer? Kirbans or Accufab. I had a Kirbans on my car 15 years ago when I bought it...and it died about 7 years ago. I've been using an Accufab I bought from Jason...with zero issues. Let's hear it. Which do you guys prefer?

A street chip from Eric and an AFPR is going on the car right off the hop.

Modern Accufabs are pieces of shit.   After seeing a power logger log showing how poor they maintain pressure (even at idle) I wasn't the least bit surprised when I took it apart and saw how horrible the design is.

If I were to buy one today, it'd be the Kirban unit.

Accufab has new design. The old design had a flat plate covering the return. The new design has a  ball that sits on a seat kind of like a needle and seat on a float of a carburetor. I have yet to have any consistency with a Kirban regulator. Just my 2 cents.

Not sure Brad. Both rebuild kits are offered by accufab just have to open yours up to see which one you have.
