255 LPH PUMP-How Fast On Straight Race Gas?
« on: June 04 2017, 04:52:49 PM »
It's a rainy day...and Jeremy brings up a good point. How fast with a single 255 LPH pump on straight race gas?

Lots of variables in that question but generally speaking it's good for about 600 hp gross in a TB.
 Why arn't you using a 340lph pump.

Cuz I think a 6.4x at 108.x in the 1/8th with a 6262 can done with a 255 on straight race gas on 29 PSI...with what I have.

Murphster is absolutely correct, There's a fine line in regard to how hard you can hit the tires to achieve your best 60...and breaking them loose. For me to crack a 1.5 I know I have to hit the tires at 3950-3975. Anything more...and it breaks them loose. Anything less...and it won't do a 1.5x. I have enuf PL data on my car to back it up. The rear QA1's have to be set on 4...anything less...and it unloads the back tires. Temp has to be about 50 degrees with the humidity in the mid 40's. Tire pressure needs to be 12.2- 12.3. Low and high gear 02's in the 750's with 6 degrees of extra low gear timing added...and high gear timing on default. Yeah, I know. I do too much testing.

Jack sells those pumps. Also 340's

I think there is 3/10 in the 1/8 just in suspension work.

A 255 l pump might be OK for 6.4 in the 1/8 but marginal for quicker than 10.9 in the 1/4.

I think you are pretty close. Running 45psi base and all that voltage helps though.

Well if Brad can get about 45psi of boost into the motor this single Walbro 450 will still be putting out about 255lph on 43.5psi base pressure.

the 450 wally is a nice piece, I'm putting two of them in the bird. One would cover me on pump, but not on E.
