Nitrous Question For Nocooler
« on: July 30 2016, 07:37:11 AM »
Jeremy, my buddy Mike with the 2002 Camaro was at the track with me last nite. I know zilch about nitrous...so go easy on me. He said his nano bottle was malfunctioning ...so he had to run NA all nite. What's a nano bottle...and what's it do? Another question. Mike's personal best is 9.20...and he went 11.20 for several runs last nite NA. His car is a ragtop with a proper cage...and hasn't been lightened up. Any idea how much nitrous he's spraying to pick up 2 seconds. It's gotta be a shitload. He brings 2 large bottles each time...and they don't last long.

Nano is a nitrogen push system, it's high pressure and pushes the nitrous out of the bottle. On ls1tech.com I think he says it's somewhere around 300hp he is spraying or something like that.

Yep, you can pull the engine out of the average 4 banger and replace it with nitrous...you will have 2 1/2 times the orignal hp and be greener to boot.

Probably has a nitrous torque converter and camshaft ground for nitrous, makes it less effective n/a - but wakes up with nitrous.
