Ebay stuff
« on: May 08 2006, 07:19:53 PM »
Buick GN rear end rebuid kit?  Is this another batch of discontinued stuff?  Is there better after market rebuild kits available?

Chrome alternators?  I'm not to big on chrome, but does anyone even make these for our cars anymore?

New intercooler fan.  It doesn't look right for some reason, maybe because it's clean?

GN high volume oil pump and timing cover. I see this listed all the time...but it's cheaper at places like SE Turbo...am I missing something here?

Aluminum water pump.  What's the point?  Is this thing better or cheaper here on ebay than elsewhere?  Any of the vendors sell these?

Bored out OEM throttle bodies with option to buy matching plenum.  $149 + $50 for the plenum (and your core), and a core refund of $50 for your TB makes this $149.  Is it worth it?  Or should I just go a 70mm TB & matching plenum from Full Throttle?

I hate not being in the states and being able to call up people to get info.

I just had my rearend rebuilt but I dont know what they did to it. Rebuilding your rear end isnt something you can do unless you really know what your doing. Len at Performance Transmission sent my car to another shop that rebuilds rears. If you want his email let me know.

seturbo.com has chrome alternators

IC fan looks greenish but it's stock.

Watch the boards for the tb and plenums, I got mine way cheaper. If your going to have engine work done I'd get a 70mm and be done with it. I need to go bigger myself.
Save the bumper fillers!
Move to Canadia!

I'd definately shop around. There aren't any real buys on eBay anymore.
I have seen alot of used stuff sell for more than you can buy it new for.
You can buy the water pump from Poston's for about $20 less. Steve
Monroe does the bored throttle bodies. Nowadays everybody and their
uncle sells the new timing covers. RJC also sells the 70mm TB and plenum.
Full Throttle has a price protection program where they'll match the price
less 15%. Mike Licht is really good about that too.

Yeah, I saw the full throttle TB & plenum...I'll probably that route.  SE Turbo also sells the water pump at $39.

The only things I'm still considering are the tires, what kind of simple rear end upgrades can be done, and what else I can have done to the transmission that doesn't require it being practically rebuilt altogether (I was going to buy a hardened stator and a biller servo from SE Turbo).

The moser 28 spline A102808 are the correct ones for the GN?  The pricing on the moser website is odd...what does 235/120 mean for price?  A complete set  for $235 and $120 for one side?  I don't get it...
