TR customs SE headers

Anybody use a set of these?  Look extremely similiar to TA's at about half the price.

Jason...there's a ton of knockoff stuff out there...that doesn't fit worth a crap. I've dealt with it first hand. If you have your mind set on aftermarket headers..then get them directly from TA. I run stockers...cuz they fit..and when ported...will go right into the 9's. :)

I figured it's a knockoff.  Just curious if anyone has installed and ran them.  I have had issues with the stock crossover not sealing good when installing with the engine in the car.  I even tried two different stock crossover pipes.  I'm not knocking the stockers except for that damn crack.
 
Also, I was fortunate to get the my first set of TA headers from another board member at a significantly reduced rate.  I guess I got spoiled....

I use new studs and nuts from my exhaust shop here in town. l SLOWLY tighten them up...and put my finger on each side to make sure they're sealing up evenly.

I love stock junk...and here's why. I had a couple of  guys come down from Huntsville (2 hours north of me) to buy some Buick junk a couple weeks back. Him and a few other guys are lurkers on the Toronto board...and figured I was bulllshitting saying I was running mostly stock junk. Him and his buddy just about crapped their pants when I lifted the hood...and there were no cool guy parts. I opened the passengers door and the other guy literally shook his head and walked back to his car when he saw the stock ECM.

I have no issue with aftermarket fuel management systems...IF.. .you know it inside and out. I honestly wish I had the IQ for XFI...cuz it has traction control capability.

The best piece of advice I can give is this. Know your limitations.

In that case, I'll be sticking to narrow band, stock ecm and a MAF translator. The rest of that shit is mechanical and can be figured out with an understanding of the system.... sometimes! LOL!

a PLX wideband is rugged and pretty damn cost effective....    but I'm with you. It's hard to beat a stock ECM and Translator.

The wideband with Eric's chip makes things pretty easy if you spend a bit of time to tune it.
The Power Logger is also a great tool to have!

Hopefully what you learn first is correct or there could be some bad times ahead. Anyway, I feel that I would like to install a stand alone wideband to see the correlations with the narrow band and Steve has a way of explaining things so I can understand them when there are questions.
