front sway bar

My rear tires are not good for track traction, no money in budget for Nittos this year. Steve's site says removing the front sway bar will help transfer weight. My question is could a guy just remove one end link at the track and then reinstall it after racing. No weight savings but would it eliminate the effect the sway bar has and help with transfer?

I figured what the hell and took it off tonight. Its pretty heavy :icon_lol: going to drive the car to work tomorrow and see how much different it drives.

it's when you have to jerk the wheel to avoid something, that you will notice if there is a difference.  Hopefully the rear bar is stiff enuf to cover it up

I've been hunting a hollow bar for mine. And some energy suspension fittings to hook it up.

And you will know you have made a change when you take that first turn. Take it easy and keep her between the ditches.

It was a noticeable difference. If it helps get me some traction it will be worth it. After the event i'll be putting it back on though!

someone needs to invent some quick disconnect links so one can disconnect the bar on the driver's side and race then re-install the pin and drive home

Snowmobiles have them for when you go from trail to mountian riding, just remove link and put in your pocket...great idea.

Yep the jeep n 4x4 guys have that covered. Rockcrawlin must have suspension travel.
