fuel Schrader valve question

I got in a pinch and used a valve from a tire stem instead.
is it any different because of the fuel?
When I'm in Rome, they do as I do

I'm pretty sure the gas will break down the rubber seals in it pretty quick. It's got to be a pretty common part.
