Good thing the internet has a memory, but it seems that mine is fading.  I do remember that information boiling up.

Things have a tendency to right themselves over time as I do believe Garrett is still supplying the OEMs; my brother is telling me that IHI may be supplying GM with the turbos for the LF3 V6 (same company serves Mazda).
