Thanks Steve. I just went out and did a short pull up to about 70 and didnt save the log on my PL  :013: . Still getting use to the PL and not real good with it yet, but at least it works now after a month of dicking with it! I will post my results from this fridays track visit if I dont screw up saving them.....

On T and T's I start PL when I get waved in to make a run. On a race day I start it recording just before I get waved in...as they don't want anything "loose" in the car. If they don't see me lean over to start the laptop...they don't take a second look in the car as I roll by.
Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don't last, but BAD GUYS do!

I was wondering what they might think about a laptop on my front seat.

Keep your eye out for a used aftermarket stock location IC...should be good for .2-.3 tenths
I think maybe Steve can predict the future. My stock IC seemed to have misaligned enough to blow off my pipe to the tb and hit the fan on my crank sending blades everywhere including through my IC.

Just look at it as opportunity!  leave that damn fan off...that is about all it's good for, anyway.

Look for an aftermarket unit that someone has replaced with a front mount thinking he is gonna go faster....They all work about the same so don't get hung up with what brand it is...

"I was wondering what they might think about a laptop on my front seat".

Hey Mike, should you ever have a mishap, a loose laptop sitting on the passenger seat can to quickly become an airborne projectile that will do a lot of damage.

You could always install one of these.

Where did you get the laptop holder from?  Looks nice.

Bought it from another member on the "other" board.
It is a very solid & robust laptop holder made specifically for the Buick Grand National & was made by Tiano Motorsports back in the day.  Don't believe they are available any longer.
You can post in the wanted sections of the boards & you may find one.  I have seen them pop up once in a while.

You never know.

That is a nice stand for the laptop. I got lucky and found a Dutt neck IC here in town for $50. Will hold me over for a while.
