vacuum block

During my latest problem solving session I discovered another potential issue. It appears I have a slight leak in or around the vacuum block? I cant see any obvious issue but if I hold my hand over it the slight hissing I hear is muffled. It appears that the plastic block may have a slight bow in it??? Maybe its leaking at the seal to the TB because of this. Anyone run into this before?

sounds like the gasket to me...
is it snugged down properly?
Spray a little carb cleaner around it and see if the idle changes.
Take it off, put a thin smear of rtv on the base, clean off the top of the plenum, wait 20 minutes, and then bolt it down

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Years ago I chased that link and couldn't get it to seal to save my life. I finally got an alum block and solved the problem.

Well $40 spent, was going to replace the little hose pieces when I did this and of course the frickin plastic nipple broke off on the end one
Its how it always goes with this dam car!

I didn't want to spend the money either... The car kinda insisted!
On the upside that's a part that is a permanent fix.
