Am I wrong?
« on: July 15 2013, 09:53:58 AM »
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/new-headers-install-becoming-a-pita.397486/

My reply towards the bottom.

Cliffs:
Guy buys shitty GN1 headers.
Notices the flanges are horribly warped, generally shitty construction.
People post and post telling him to NOT touch them and return them.
People tell him to get the flanges trued.
He decides to ignore the advice, decides to try to install them anyway.
No amount of tweaking will make these pieces of shit fit, so now he's out $800.

Nothing personal, but it's squarely on him, right?

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Not wrong at all.  Just the hard truth, and harder pill to swallow in his shoes.  He should've listened though. :(

It's one of those "2 sides to every story deals" 350 wishful thinking and GN1 =  "said the spider to the fly"

The problem with that board is you can ask one question and if it's a cut and dry '1 right answer question' you'll get 5 different opinions stated as fact and 3 people saying 'call suchandsuch'.

If you ask a question that doesn't have a definitive answer or don't have enough information to answer the question, you'll get 5 different answers stated as fact and 3 people saying 'call suchandsuch'.

The dilution on that board is horrible.  That was one of the things I really liked about turbobuicks.co m. There was rarely bad advice that was allowed to take a foothold.

Some people won't listen...perio d. Mike, myself and a couple of others have tried to help a young man with his TR...to no avail. I'm not wasting any more of my time.
