Not really, but I am admittedly outa Paul's league. That boy lives, breathes, eats, TB. I'm like a concrete block drowning in Turbo, Paul's more like a buoy. That being said, I believe I would do him OK as 2nd fiddle!!

you need to know what mods you have and what chip you have ,if you dont  get a turbotweak chip for your car (specifically for your car matching the injectors, turbo, and fuel you will be running)
if you are on a chip (stock ecu) get a scanmaster if you dont have one already
a real boost gauge

 with good tight vacuum lines , and good intercooler hoses and clamps 
if i its running right and sensors are good , tps iac  set ok 
trans working  (no flaring)
good oil pressure   (i know ha it is a buick but if it has low WOT oil pressure  no sense even trying)
ignition working 100%...there are testers for the ign module ,coilpack and wires
maf working and reaches 255 at 15psi (reman mafs should be replaced with a translator maf setup)
 good fuel in tank , good pump and hotwire and pump-regulator working 1:1 (fuel gauge on windsheild) ..

bottom line the fine tuning is something you as the owner of the car, who sits in it each time you drive it ,needs to know whats right and whats not right.  to send you off with it "tuned)" my be what works today  but things change (including weather) that can change whether you have a safe tune . it could be a voltage change from a bad alternator or a higher coolant temp from a weak fan or a failing fuel pump .  thing is you need to know how to read your scanmaster and be aware of things that change as they affect your "safe" tune 
if your plans are to push a safe tune hard then the scanmaster may not be enough data to ensure you are safe and in the end its usually after you cross the safe line that you discover what wasnt working properly  and then its too too late

That pretty much wraps it up!  Most of the cars that someone want me to help tune have a fuel delivery problem, a bad maf, or a coil/module problem or the drivetrain is not mechanically sound.

If everything is working properly, there is usually very little to be gained in "tuning" with modern chips.  Learning to drive the car can be another question, however
