Frame brace
« on: February 09 2013, 07:06:42 AM »
I'm working on the front suspension of my 87 GN and noticed that when I put the jack under the engine crossmember between the frame rails and jack up the entire front of the car, the passenger wheel comes off the ground before the drivers side does.  Replacing the suspension components may fix this, but I was wondering if anybody has used some frame braces to stiffen up the front of their GN.

if jacking front of car at center causes the car to tilt  its not the front
you need to work on the rear suspension , in particular the sway bar or springs (air bags) arent even loading the rear tires

bent swaybar or too much air in passenger air bag comes to mind

for me my rear swaybar is adjustable and stiff (HRpartsnstuff)    the car sits square and will lift the front end evenly without twist  ,
i dont run airbags and have no braces up front or front swaybar
