Difference between the two?

I already put about 70 miles on my new setup but I was waiting for my upgraded chip from Eric (TT), my last chip was for ALKY and a stock turbo and motor. Now I have the bigger cam, ported heads and the 6262.

My question is what kinda of difference will be made going from 22 lbs with the stocker to 22 lbs with the new setup? I have my Scanmaster #'s within the norm (TPS .44/ IAC 28/ BL 125/ AF 6-7). I went WOT in 3rd for 2-3 seconds with the old chip and boost seemed to be at 22 lbs but I let off realizing this is not good with the wrong chip, no knock at 780. I will slowly be tuning this weekend hopefully if the weather is nice. I'm not sure if I can get the boost down lower but if it doesn't show KR and my #'s look good I guess I'm fine.

I will be getting the new trans & converter next so I just will be spooling slow until then.

compared with a stock turbo, the 6262 will pump more air when both are at 22# as its compressor will be more efficient at boosts in this range.  This is further exacerbated by the ported heads and the cam.

If you stayed in long enuf, it may have gone lean on you...should need more wot fuel up in third gear.  If you are spraying alky, it will cover a lot of sins-for awhile.  then it will go boom  :D

You will probably find your o2s down in the mid 700's when dialed in...just stay out of timing retard and it should be fine...that is what counts

I had a old school 62 turbo on my car, running about 116 to 117 mph in the 1/4 mile.
Then put the 6262 journal bearing billet turbo in and ran a 127.78 out the back, with 11% torque converter slip, and turning 6,000 rpm at the finish line. What I'm trying to say is the 6262 puts the power down.

What is an old school 62. How different are they  It is a journal bearing too?

They are from the original modifications to the TE or TA housing....

TA49,60, 61, 62,

It is way to muggy out today so I will play with the car Sun/Mon. I was just looking at my new chip and Eric has it for 23-21 timing and 24-26psi boost. I forgot what my stock turbo ALKY chip specs were. Does this mean my timing in first is 23 then 21 for third?
