Anyone had this done to anything. A local guy bought the equipment and showed me some pieces he did....on his examples you would never know its not chrome.
I ask because for just a chrome turbo shield its $250ish to buy one. He will chrome the shield, the up and MAF pipe, the valve covers and intake and the alternator and pulley/fan ( after I disassemble) for $200!

If its the stuff I'm thinking of it has clear coat over it?
