cam sensor ?

ok setting my cam sensor followed the instructions on steveds site
question my sensor only reads 6.5 v on my meter and no matter how much i turn it the voltage doesnt change
what the heck am i doing wrong:?

got me.  actual voltage is not important but it must drop

The wire in "B" does continue on to the ign module?

Its any help you can borrow my caspers tool?
I assume the brass wheel under the cap is tight & spinning as the motor turns over?

His car runs...therefo re the voltage has to be rising and falling.  B goes to a buffer amplifer in the module

Hall sensors can show funny if they don't have their normal load attached- why I asked.

Good point...

don't disconnect the cam sensor while checking voltages....se e the factory diagram at the bottom of the page  http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/cam_sensor.htm   The voltage is checked with the cam sensor connector plugged in
