God damn UPS
« on: January 10 2006, 02:52:46 PM »
Ok so whats the deal with UPS' policy on late arrivals?

I had my brake conversion kit shipped 3 day from florida.  It left on the 6th and I checked today and its scheduled to be dropped off tomorrow the 11th....  So 3 day turned into 5 day....

Don't I get my shipment cost back or something?

Try as you might, you will never have a worse experience with UPS than I have, so I'm totally feelin' ya on this one. It has become clear to me that shipping services are the only in our great country that, if they don't give you what you paid for, all you get is an apology....if you're lucky. I witnessed *once* a refund for something not showing up on time and that was because my then girlfriend went in with a short-ass skirt and visible garter belts.

I sent a package to Canada, Priority Air Mail. 3 days, maybe 5. Two weeks later it showed up.
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

I used to have a horrible time with Fed Ex.
One year I ordered some stuff from Jegs that
was for Christmas gifts. That never showed.
Jegs ended up reshipping everything in mid
January. (at least they made good on it) The
next thing I bought was a mini starter from
Turbobuicks.co m that was delivered to a guys
apartment about four miles away from my house !
Fortunately the guy was kind enough to send me a post card
telling me he had gotten it, and to call him to
make arrangements to pick it up. He got the address
from the box it was shipped in. He even brought it to my shop.
The next thing I bought was an intercooler from Keith (highboost).
That got delivered to my neighbor's house. She
was nice enough to let me know, when she saw me checking around the house
and near the back door for it. It was listed as delivered
on their website. Since then, they've found my house and
all my shipments arrive the way that they're supposed to.
I've never had a problem with UPS.

Well Phil, it was shipped on friday the 6th. Thats not counted as day one. Saturday would be day one but that dont count either. Nor does Sunday. Expect your package on Wednesday. Monday being day one.

AND, if you pay for 3 day, it takes 4. Your entitled to a refund. You have to call UPS and let them know. Just make sure that you are correct or you'll look like a dumbass.
Save the bumper fillers!
Move to Canadia!
