I would guess the surge is worse because it is spooling faster due to less alky.  Alky tends to put a damper on spool.  Don't know if you can tell the difference in spool?

Never seen surge quite that bad.  Usually took a bit more than half throttle when I had the problem to get around it.

The 02s see, to be about right in my experience and with what Eric suggests...I guess some playing is in order

I say that the surge is worse but it seems like instead of surging at 10 psi it surges at 15-18 now at atleast half throttle  :icon_confused:
85 GN -- Converted to 87 set-up using 66/72 turbo, front mount I/C, 80lb injectors,gn1 heads 14 bolt 1.65 roller rockers stud mount, ported intake with plate, fuel hot wire, 3" dp, running 24psi., alky kit, stroker 20 over, 212/206 roller,  best time 10.995 @ 121 1.56 60ft

Kinda strange...wond er if it is getting too lean at that point?  Can you see the O2s just before it happens?  Most of the time, I have seen the problem between 0-12 psi or so

Try something else, unplug the cam sensor after you start it and then go drive it...see if that is any different.  Sometimes a cam sensor can make one act up.  I always install the sensor and turn it at least an 1/8" ccw more than the location where the voltage dropped.  Remember it will not restart once you shut it off until you replug it
